For Employers
The Promotores de Salud Hispanic lay health promoter program is an important asset for the Harrisonburg-Rockingham business community.
Area Hispanics play a dynamic role in the economic health and vitality of the Central Shenandoah Valley. Large numbers of Hispanics work in the area’s poultry industry and processing plants while many others are employed in manufacturing, construction and the hospitality industry.
Promotores de Salud works in multiple settings to address the health and wellness issues within our socially and economically important Hispanic community. Health is a key component in the strength of our region, and a healthy, steady, dependable labor force enables employers to maintain productivity and meet staffing needs. Promotores de Salud also works one-on-one with employers to design and implement programs to help improve and enhance the health and well-being of employees.
